Veronica Torres, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), helps individuals (5-65+), couples, and families navigate anxiety, life transitions, and trauma/PTSD. She also has experience with ADHD, relationship issues, and men’s and women’s issues. Using a client-centered, collaborative approach, she draws from trauma-focused CBT, strengths-based therapy, play therapy, and Gottman techniques to tailor therapy to each client’s needs. Veronica holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Governors State University.
Anxiety is one of the most common concerns clients bring to therapy, and Veronica understands how overwhelming it can feel. From general worry to panic attacks, she helps clients identify triggers, separate facts from feelings, and develop coping strategies using mindfulness, grounding techniques, and DBT. Her goal is to help clients regain confidence and feel in control.
Life changes—whether planned or unexpected—can bring stress and uncertainty. Veronica helps clients navigate transitions with encouragement and practical goal-setting, making big adjustments feel more manageable. Whether it’s a new job, a major life event, or a relationship shift, she works alongside clients to create a path forward.
Trauma can shape how people see themselves and the world around them. Veronica takes a client-led, trauma-informed approach, ensuring clients feel safe and supported while processing their experiences. She helps them unpack past events, reframe negative beliefs, and build coping skills using trauma-focused CBT, mindfulness, and attachment theory.
She knows therapy can feel intimidating at first, so she never pressures clients to share more than they’re ready for. Her goal is to help people feel understood, comfortable, and in control of their own healing. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, mindful nature walks, and spending time with her tiny but mighty chihuahua, Mona.
