Meet Beth, a Licensed Professional Counselor with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governors State University. She specializes in LGBTQ+ issues, sexual difficulties, trauma/PTSD, race/social justice/equality, relationship issues, stress management, women’s issues, and pain management, including chronic pain and invisible illness. Beth is honored to work with adolescents (14+), adults, and couples.
Beth’s warm and authentic approach honors each client’s inner strength and resources. She believes that each person has the capability to embrace their identity and author their future. Using a strengths-based person-centered theoretical approach, Beth values clients as the expert. She has a gift of listening to clients’ language and strives to understand each individual’s lived reality. She is passionate about working with marginalized populations, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, those facing mental health stigma, and those navigating sexual difficulties and trauma. Drawn to therapy as a career from a young age, Beth’s passion for becoming a counseling professional is the opportunity to advocate for more accessible and widespread mental health resources.
Beth loves learning and art and often combines the two. Listening to podcasts, reading the backstory behind famous art, and pausing movies to notice small details are a few hobbies that bring her joy.
